The flexibility of PowerVault ME5 provides multiple protocols, supports a wide range of drive types and capacities, and can scale up to 8 PB of capacity using Dell PowerEdge servers (supporting 16GB) has been validated and delivered to you through all-in-one software, so you will receive the necessary storage, management, and protection for your data services. Using fast Intel Xeon processors, PowerVault ME5 storage implements a dual active controller architecture, 12GB/s read, and 10 GB/s write throughput and fast capacity expansion using 12 Gb SAS backend protocol.
Optional ME5 expansion enclosures for expansion up to 336 drives or 8 PB. PowerVault ME412 and ME424 expansion enclosures are only available with the ME5012 or ME5024 base arrays. The ME484 high-density expansion enclosure is supported with any ME5 base array. A wide range of SSD, 10K and NLSAS drives are available (including FIPS-certified SEDs).
